Smoked Chicken with Chesapeake Bay Spice Blend


8        ea           Chicken Thigh/Leg Pieces- skin on

2        Tbsp       Olive oil
3        oz           Spice Union Chesapeake Bay Spice Blend


  1. Preheat your smoker to 325°F- setting up for indirect cooking.

  2. Drizzle the olive oil over the chicken and rub each piece to make sure each is thoroughly coated in olive oil.

  3. Liberally season both sides of the chicken pieces with Spice Union Chesapeake Bay Spice Blend.

  4. Place chicken on the indirect heat side of the grill/smoker.

  5. Cook the chicken for about 50-60 minutes or until it reaches an internal temperature of 170°F.

  6. Let the chicken rest for 5-7 minutes before cutting.

  7. Serve with a side of Alabama White Barbeque Sauce (click here for the recipe) and your signature side dishes.
