Broiled Tilapia
Broiled Tilapia

8         ea                  5-6 oz Fresh Tilapia fillets
1/4      C                   Spice Union Chesapeake Bay Spice Blend
1         Tbsp              Olive oil
6         Tbsp              Butter- melted

  1. Arrange your oven rack to about 6 inches from the broiler.

  2. Preheat the oven to 400°F.

  3. Brush an oven proof pan with the olive oil; this will prevent the fish from sticking to the pan.

  4. Season both sides of the Tilapia fillets with Spice Union Chesapeake Bay Spice Blend.

  5. Place the Tilapia fillets into the oven proof pan and drizzle the melted butter over the top of each fillet.

  6. Change the setting on your oven to preheat the broiler for 6-7 minutes. Remember to crack the oven door when broiling.

  7. Place the pan of Tilapia under the broiler and cook for approximately 6-7 minutes.  Keep an eye on the Tilapia to make sure it doesn’t get too browned on the top.

  8. If the Tilapia starts to brown too much, move the pan to a rack in the middle of the oven and continue to cook in the oven at 400°F.

  9. Serve with fresh lemon wedges and your favorite side dishes.
