Garam Masala Pan Seared Mahi Mahi

4        ea                6-8 oz portions of Mahi Mahi fillets
1/3     C                 Spice Union Garam Masala Spice Blend
1        Tbsp            Coconut oil
1        Tbsp            Butter


  1. Preheat a cast iron pan on medium heat.

  2. Liberally season Mahi Mahi fillets with Spice Union's Garam Masala Spice Blend.

  3. Add coconut oil and butter to the pan.

  4. When the butter starts to foam, place the Mahi Mahi into the cast iron pan, skin side up.

  5. Sear the Mahi Mahi fillets for about 3-4 minutes per side or until just barely cooked through.

  6. Serve with sautéed seasonal vegetables and rice or potatoes.
