Smoked Beer Can Chicken with Grilln’ & Roastn’ Spice

Ingredients:
1           ea           3-4 lb Whole chickens
1           C            Spice Union Grilln’ & Roastn’ Spice Blend
1           ea           12 oz Cans of beer

 

  1. Preheat your smoker to 325°F- setting up for indirect cooking.

  2. Drink 2/3 of the beer.  Yes, we endorse beer drinking whenever smoke is rolling.

  3. Generously season both the inside and outside of the chicken with Spice Union Grilln’ & Roastn’ Spice Blend.

  4. Slide the beer can into the cavity of the chicken.

  5. Using the beer can as ‘stand’, place the chicken standing up in the smoker.

  6. Smoke the chicken until the thighs reach an internal temperature of 165°F (about 60-75 minutes).

  7. Once the chickens have finished cooking, let them rest for 5 minutes before cutting.
