Roast Venison Sirloin Roast with Wild Game Seasoning


1        ea                2 lb Venison Sirloin Roast
1/3     C                 Spice Union Wild Game Seasoning Blend
1        Tbsp            Coconut Oil


  1. Bring the venison sirloin roast to room temperature.

  2. Using a thin knife, trim away any silver skin that may be on the sirloin roast.

  3. Season the venison sirloin roast on all sides with Spice Union Wild Game Seasoning Blend.

  4. Preheat the oven to 400°F.

  5. On the stove top, preheat a cast iron pan to medium high heat.

  6. Add the coconut oil to the cast iron pan and heat until shimmering.

  7. Place the venison sirloin in the hot cast iron pan.  Sear on all sides of the roast until properly browned.

  8. Place cast iron pan into the oven and immediately lower the oven temperature to 325°F.

  9. Roast the venison sirloin roast until it reaches an internal temperature of 130°F.

  10. Remove the venison sirloin roast from the oven and let the roast rest for 10-12 minutes before slicing.

  11. Serve with your signature potatoes and seasonal vegetables.
